Job Description
Job Role
•Plan day to day activities of sourcing function
•Deliver to business objective by providing sourcing solution for required product
•Create the project plan together with China suppliers & ensure to meet the target timeline
•Generate weekly MIS for inquiry status, ordering, shipment ETD, ETA, etc.
Sourcing strategy / plan
•Understand the product need & provide cost efficient solution
•Identify potential supplier through various sourcing platform
Supplier Mapping
•Identify key component supplier for each product
•Keep updates on upcoming technology & new products
•Lead RFQ’s, audits and prototyping process to create business case for the shortlisted supplier(s)
•Propose the business case, including Risk Assessment and gap analysis
Cost Management
•Work with Cost Break Down models for all products
•Identify & execute the cost improvement initiatives
•Benchmark cost data with market to deliver right cost
Supplier Relationship Management
•Represent company in front of supplier, vendor & clients
•Established and maintained ongoing relationship with vendors to enhance buying process
•Lead sourcing, vendor assessment, supplier evaluation, bidding, negotiating, contract management
Supplier Quality Assurance
•Responsible for Product Development together with suppliers as per BILLION specifications
•Work together with Quality to drive Manufacturing Excellence
•Drive Manufacturing Innovations that help drive productivity, quality and technological improvements
Requirements
Desired skills and experience:
•Qualification - Graduation in Engineering
•Language – English, Chinese
•Experience – 6+
•Should have worked with cost break down models
•Project management experience
•Strong leadership capabilities
•Self-driven
•Willing to travel
