Job description

Role Overview:
The candidate will be working in the Business team at for Seller Marketing. He/she would be responsible for generating leads for seller acquisition, preparing GTM for reaching out to different seller cohorts, creating awareness via offline (ATL/BTL) and online (Digital) channels, ensuring seller retention and driving seller engagement.
The role will require the candidate to have a deep understanding of ecommerce, marketplace ecosystem, market trends, manufacturing clusters and its nuances. Able to identify opportunities and build strategies with various partners.
Business strategy
Know the customer: Deeply understand customer behavior, develop new customer insights
Own the business: Co-own the P&L, understand where opportunities lie and build strategies to create a viable business to service them
Know the market: Stay on top of trends in an ever-changing landscape, find opportunities and prioritize based on size, internal capabilities, etc.
Know the competition: Understand online and offline players. Ensure selection stays well ahead of competition
Influence: Convert strategies into action by liaising with cross-functional teams/leadership and drive the changes required

Seller/Vendor Management
Develop deep and long-standing relationship with the sellers/aggregators – to drive relationships from the strategic to the tactical
Own the terms of business with the sellers – selection, returns, etc. – ensure seller growth and profitability
Ensure high-share of mind from the seller. Build deep ties.
Make sellers partners in driving disruptive changes for the category

Market Understanding
Develop a thorough knowledge of the international market – short term and long term trends, identify manufacturing clusters to build a robust seller ecosystem
Have an in-depth knowledge of competition and vendor/seller/aggregator and ability to influence the market
Selection and Offers
Work with new and already onboarded sellers/aggregators to get the best possible selection & amp
Own cost improvement and overall portfolio management for sellers
Manage in store promotions along with brands – make brands partners in customer communication
the “destination of choice” for the customers through the unique and value assortment of products on offer
Drive portfolio management for best offers and discounts for the customers

Fulfilment and Inventory
Seller Inventory – ensure right & optimal inventory managed by sellers
Develop and manage a fulfilment strategy with the sellers to ensure best selection along with the optimal cost and service.

Key Competencies required:
Experience in Cross Border Sourcing
Analytical skills
Hard working, with the ability to manage deadlines and demanding working hours
