Job Description:
This is an opportunity to join the Application Engineering Organization (AEO) for technical support of company's EV solutions to external customers and strategic partners in a fast-developing automotive EV market. The Pre-sales AE’s will be a key player in the solution selling process, support customer test value chain by critically increasing their productivity though technical demonstrations and consultancy.
We are looking for an experienced engineer with appropriate knowledge and ability to become technical expert on AES solutions. The solutions encompasses multiple technical domain which includes high power electronics, Lithium Ion battery testing, climate & EMC chambers, control-automation, Hardware-in-loop (HiL) systems, simulation SW and complete E-Mobility vehicle architecture (motor, battery pack, cooling systems, high voltage, control system etc.)
The successful candidate will have a critical customer interface role and should have real passion for customer and company success. Presales AE will be responsible for customer satisfaction thorough quality and timely execution of presales activities and projects. Customer interaction will be either from office or at customer site anywhere in India. Therefore, travel is essential in this job.
Education Requirements:
• B. Tech./M. Tech. in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 7 to 10 years.

Requirements

Required Technical Skills:
This role requires a high degree of technical competence and experience. Relevant technical skills and hands on working experience in EV R&D, its testing as well as other technical capacity on electrical/electronic test solutions within automotive segment as stated below.
• Design and testing knowledge of power electronics and Hardware in Loop (HiL) is required.
• Testing experience on Battery Cells/Modules/Pack Assembly, Design and Testing is required.
• Experience of Climatic/EMC chambers, CCU, AHU, Dyno, PDUs or on related lab systems are essential.
• Should be familiar with EV-EVSE architecture, International design and validation standards (ISO/IEC/SAE/DIN etc.) and PLC/CAN communication methods.
• Complete knowledge on BMS architecture & design, vehicle ECUs, Battery Emulators and ECU simulation is required.
• Testing experience on EV inverters, E-Motor Emulator, OBC, DC-DC converter and other related electro-mechanical systems is essential.
• Should be knowledgeable in communications interfaces used in automotive segments like CANoe, Automation Desk, COSYM, MATLAB Simulink on HiL hardware and software.
• Knowledge and experience with simulation SW and ability to write code/scripts (using languages such as C++, C#, VEE, MATLAB ® or VB) will be an advantage.
• Experience of system installation and commissioning of high-power equipment is desirable.
• Knowledge of V2X communication with 5G is desirable.

Required Soft Skills:
• The candidate should be a good decision maker, should be able to work independently and collaborate with colleagues in equal measure.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, especially in English. The candidate should be self-motivated and problem solver with good knowledge of analytical skills as well.
• High level of organizational skills, ability to multi-task, priorities and prompt technical responses within defined timelines.
