As a Cloud Architect, you will be part of Innovation team that develops and operates mission critical client facing platforms with deep integration with enterprise back office systems. You will be involved in ensuring that the platform is built using state of the art cloud technologies with an eye on the future.
The Job
• This role is that of the Cloud Architect for a couple of client facing platforms which drive client experience improvements for multiple product lines
• You will design, implement and own all aspects of cloud engineering including
- sizing,
- monitoring,
- security,
- logging,
- telemetry,
- automation
• Support the operational environment that provides client facing applications and meets the requirements of service availability and recover-ability
• Work with Product Management and Infrastructure team
Qualifications & Skills required
This is a critical innovation role requiring experience with complex datacenter and cloud hosting environments. The role requires a talented self-directed individual with a strong work ethic and the following skills:
• Must Have
o B.Tech (C. Sc.) or MCA or a similar qualification
o Deep experience with AWS and running HA applications in the cloud.
o 8-10 years relevant experience in Enterprise and Cloud Architecture (including Data, Security, application architecture)
o Proven track record with successful implementations (using Java, J2EE, Angular 4+, Spring Framework)
o Excellent communication skills
o Platforms – Linux and Windows
o Solid understanding of CICD both using pipelines and abstractions (convention vs configuration)
o Solid foundation in application environments including Containers, K8S, monitoring, logging, telemetry (metrics)
o Application security in the cloud (basic network concepts, secrets, roles, tokens)
o High availability/Scalable architecture
o Data Management in a Cloud Environment
o Strong understanding of micro services strategies and design choices (NoSQL vs SQL, Message Queues, API layering, Caching)
• Nice to Have
o Angular, Java Spring Boot programming skills and multiple framework exposure
o Exposure and understanding of CICD pipeline automated tests, functional tests, code coverage, Mocks
o AWS Certified Solution Architect (Professional or Associate)
o Experience with Feature Flag programming processes (deploy to production decoupled from go-live)
o Exposure to right sizing applications and containers, auto-scaling, use of SPOT in AWS
