Job Description

Responsibility

Identify and highlight credit risk pertaining to the dealers financed. Implement wholesale credit risk
guidelines while evaluating proposals for wholesale credit to maintain a healthy
credit portfolio, ensure adherence to other risk related policies and protect the company's interest in line with risk
committee guidelines and India business strategy. 

Key accountabilities of the function 
For new and existing dealers, evaluate financial documents, business plans, facilities and leverage from
other banks. Prepare credit review report for the dealer and put up to Supervisor. Support supervisor in
discussion with National Sales Company on dealer credibility during the dealer selection process for company
wholesale finance and for commercial business, discuss new and existing dealers with 
sales team.
 Periodic review of cash flow reports from the dealers, identify & highlight the issues related to liquidity
deficit / surplus to the Credit Committee for action.
 Handing the weak dealers and updating the management on the same.
 Collaborating/ partnering with the weak dealers enabling him to come out of the stress situation.
 Quarterly/ periodic review of the interim financials/ visits to the weak dealers.
 Evaluate, review and propose modifications to the draft wholesale credit risk guidelines covering collateral
specifications, provisioning policy, terms of reference, dealer scorecards, etc.
 Ensuring accurate and timely Monthly/Quarterly/annual risk reporting to the company Headquarters for various
purposes.
 Prepare Credit Risk System reports. Submit the reports accordingly.
 Prepare information for local regulators as per requirement.
 Prepare monthly net exposure & Credit Risk System reports. Submit the reports accordingly.
 Be aware of market practices with respect to Commercial finance lending (Inventory funding, Working
Capital etc.) and share the best practices.
 Handling the Internal Audit, Statutory Audit and the Head Quarter audit. 

Impact on innovations and changes 
Periodically conduct file / application checks; interpret stakeholder feedback & market information, etc. to
identify the credit risk at an early stage.
 Put forward back up provisioning proposals for dealer wise on a monthly basis. 

Purpose and subject of the interaction/communication with internal/external interfaces, negotiating
mandate
Present proposals to Local/ Regional Credit committee as per requirement and for approvals.
 Interact with local banks and financers for understanding the market dynamics.
 Liaison with internal auditors and HQ for meeting reporting requirements.
 Coordinate with external vendors for purposes like valuation, ROC search, legal search etc.
 Interact with internal departments for reporting purposes

Requirements

Educational Background / Professional Knowledge and Experience / Other Skills 
The candidate must be a qualified Chartered Accountant or MBA (finance) 
Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in the credit industry 
Location- Gurgaon
