Job Description

Job Title : Plant Head - Capital Equipment/Heavy Equipments
Location : Palakkad, Kerala 

Client is one of the leading equipment manufacturing companies specializes in engineering, designing, fabrication and manufacturing of capital equipment and completion of turnkey projects for the mining and aggregates industries.

Objective
This role is to lead the entire operations activities happening inside the factory starting from receiving the punched order to dispatch of products. The plant head ensures that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently and the health and safety regulations within the factory are met.

Roles and Responsibilities

 Manage the production with expected quality within competitive lead time and budgeted cost.
 Maintain good condition of all facilities with lower cost.
 Ensure proper quality checking in each operation.
 Manage all teams within the operations department.
 Continue quality improvement and customer satisfaction.
 Support the development of new product & process (NPD) and continuous improvement.
 Contribute actively to the creation and execution of the company’s overall strategic vision, tactical
strategies and operational objectives
 Improve production Inventory turns (Lean Manufacturing, Toyota Production System etc.)
 Continue productivity improvement with focusing on COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) reduction.
 Implement common S.Q.D.C.E, P (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Environment, and People)
measurement at manufacturing site.
 Lead and implement lean principles for Assembly & Fabrication as a leader of plant.
 Ensure customer orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and
targets are met.
 Review worker performance and identify training needs.
 Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations.
 Organising relevant training sessions.

Preferred Education and Experience
 Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in engineering or equivalent is required; MBA or equivalent is
preferred
 Extensive professional experience (18 to 22 Years) in industrial equipment manufacturing
operations (Minimum 18 years industrial experience)
 Experience as an executive in a growth-oriented organization; managing the overall budget and
deliverables of the manufacturing organization; and working with the executive team in establishing
the manufacturing organization’s strategic direction and priorities
 Leadership, Strategic planning and Business planning skills
 Good communication skill in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and English
