Job Description
Position : Deputy Manager- Buyer (Casting)
Roles and Responsibilities :
1. New Supplier Selection & assessment and have good experience in Casting Commodities .
2. Experience on commodities such as machined Castings (Mainly SG/Grey), forgings
3. Need knowledge of vendor base in Indian market for above commodities.
4. Liaise with Strategic buyers in the overseas country to ensure on time execution of sourcing
projects & deliver savings
5. Should have good knowledge of manufacturing processes, Tooling concept & development
6. Manage individual projects from ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report) / PPAP to first bulk
supply conclusion.
7. Negotiation & Price settlement with supplier
8. Achieve savings through process improvements & VA-VE
9. Ensure Supplier Production capacity signed off through structured assessment & removing
process bottlenecks
10. Dealt with conflict situation of Supplier and problem solving.
Requirements
Exposure & Essentials: -
1. Global Sourcing
2. Negotiation tools, techniques and tactics
3. MS Excel and SAP.
4. Should have good experience in Ferrous Casting .
5. Good communication skills
