Job Description
Seeking skilled and experienced Linux Clustering Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team in Bangalore. The team has global responsibility to maintain and enhance the automation and tools that manage our 5,000+ production VCS (Veritas Cluster Server) clusters, which are responsible for providing High Availability to the most critical areas of the business. The position involves a mix of strategic engineering and design with hands-on technical work including automation, coding, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
RedHat Linux and networking fundamentals.
Experience administering at least one High Availability platform (Veritas Cluster Server, Pacemaker, Kubernetes or similar).
Effective troubleshooting skills across all components of the plant (HW, OS, network, storage).
Good knowledge of at least one configuration management system (eg. Salt Stack, Puppet, Chef, Ansible or similar).
Ability to write robust, maintainable scripts in Python or Perl with good unit test coverage.
Additional Information
Exposure to modern development tools and practices including git, jenkins, test-driven development and continuous integration.
Familiarity with UNIX system calls, and low-level OS and network debugging.
In-depth knowledge of the Veritas InfoScale product.
