Job Description

Manage the provision of regular financial information to key customers, being primarily the Global Operating Committee
members, the FIL and FID board members and shareholders.
• Provision of high quality and informative financial data for inclusion in internal and external presentations; including but not
limited to CFO video updates and town hall/team meeting business updates, updates to credit rating agencies and insurance
underwriters, shareholder briefings, year-end merit cycle budget proposals.
• Define, monitor and report to the Global Operating Committee the KPIs for Fidelity International as a whole, Investment
Solutions & Services, Workplace & Personal Financial Health and Corporate Enablers; including liaising with the CEO’s office
and providing support for the half-year business review process.
• Track and report on market share and addressable market size.
• Provide multi-year profit projections for Fidelity International, flexing recent three-year forecast data for latest market and
foreign exchange rate levels and preparing associated scenario analysis and stress testing.
• Financial modelling and analysis for Fidelity International, providing insight and challenge that drive corporate performance.
• Participate in forecasting and planning activities, including challenging the plans of the business.
• Manage the process for producing draft and final results summaries and sharing with impacted stakeholders, including the
CFO; this includes maintaining strong working relationships with Group Finance and NAV accounting teams and
understanding differences between management, US GAAP and NAV results.
• Promote a deeper understanding of the drivers of revenue and cost.
• Provide clear financial insight through the continuous improvement of reporting formats and well-written commentary,
supporting decision-making and the achievement of Fidelity International objectives.
• Manage and prioritise the workload of those members of the Enterprise Performance team who are responsible for
performance reporting.
• Review the output of team members, setting high standards, providing coaching and guidance for future improvement.
• Ensure timely delivery and accuracy of all regular deliverables.
• Ensure, where possible, that management reporting is automated and consistent in format with other CFO group reporting.
• Ensure any ad hoc deliverables are turned out to expectation or higher in a timely fashion.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of a sound financial control environment.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of information systems and processes.
• Contribute to the setting of objectives for and support the personal development of all team members.

Requirements

• Well-developed client-facing interpersonal skills with good presence, used to dealing with all levels of seniority.
• Strong verbal and written business English communication skills, experience of writing financial commentary for senior
stakeholder consumption.
• Strong visual communication in terms of presentation material.
• Robust analytical and numerate ability (including modelling skills) coupled with a commercial outlook; used to helping a
business achieve its objectives.
• Very high level of attention to detail yet also able to see the big picture and distil and articulate key facts or themes.
• Good planning, prioritisation, problem solving and organisational skills; good experience of anticipating needs and
communicating continuously, taking care of details, keeping stakeholders well informed of status/progress.
• A resilient questioning approach; ability to spot, investigate and explain irregularities.
• A self-motivated individual with a “can-do” attitude and the ability to work intensively with a full sense of ownership of the work
product at all times.
• Good team player used to successfully working and collaborating with colleagues within the department and across the wider
Fidelity organisation.
• Experienced people manager ideally from a global matrix environment with significant experience of coaching and reviewing
the work of staff.
• Flexibility to work in a changing environment.
• Experience of the asset management industry would be an advantage.
• Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
• Knowledge of Essbase, HFM, OBIEE, Tableau, Anaplan and JDE would be an advantage
