Job Description

The role of this position is to develop and deliver, proprietary products and solutions within the Consumer Products industry, to our clients while managing a team of 3-5 analysts and associates. The CP teams collaborate with their CP industry leadership and front-end case teams on the development and deployment of industry specific analytical solutions aimed at answering strategic questions of CP clients relating to brand strategy (assortment, pricing, distribution), revenue management (pricing, promotions, profit pools, trade terms), negotiation
strategy with retailers, COGS optimization, etc.
A Project Leader is required to have in-depth knowledge on CP datasets, sub-sectors (F&B, Beauty, OTC Pharma, etc.), tools (alteryx, tableau, etc.). A PL owns a client project end to end with guidance from a Manager/Director; manage client communication and expectations through high quality delivery of projects, while providing day to day coaching and mentoring to analysts and associates. PL owns work-planning, problem solving, hypothesis
generation and research toolkit on projects.

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Graduate from tier-1 college with 5-8 years of experience in a global professional services firm
environment with exposure to business research and consulting
• Preferably an MBA from tier-1 business school
• Experience in providing internal/external strategic consulting to Consumer Products clients,
with focus on consumer/marketing analytics and research to develop go-to-market strategies
for clients including product/pricing/promotion/distribution decisions
• Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, opportunities and gaps,
and integrate across disparate industry data resources (e.g., Nielsen/IRI, Mintel, Kantar, shopper card data, client financials etc.)
• Significant experience applying advanced analytics to a range of business situations and a proven ability to synthesize complex data to generate simple and clear insights
• A deep understanding of modern analytical tools and techniques, including R, SPSS, Python, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI is preferred
• Strong academic credentials, analytical ability and leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills, can drive senior client/stakeholder level discussions succinctly to favorable outcomes
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and develop open ended ideas to practical results
• Maturity to lead by example, willingness to get into detail as required while also balancing
delegation effectively
• A strong team player and demonstrated ability to motivate team members
• Quick learner, good at multi-tasking
