Job Description

As an Advisory DevOps Engineer, you will be working with cross Projects teams. This will be Individual
Contributor role working for global DevOps team responsible for driving and delivering DevOps and
TechOps maturity across multiple teams at Pitney Bowes You are expected to be hands on and up to date

The Job
• Work directly with development teams to support their daily needs in delivering software for our
customers.
• Design, configure and maintain current and future cloud-based systems and networking
configurations.
• Be willing to be on call and responsive for Production related issues pertaining to TechOps
dependent solutions.
• Proactively and independently investigate new technologies as they relate to our existing SaaS
solutions

Requirements

Qualification
• UG - BTech/B.E. OR PG – M.S. / MTech in Computer Science, Engineering, or related
discipline
• 6 - 8 years of delivering high quality solutions in DevOps and TechOps space
Skills Required
• Specific experience administering and/or designing and building environments in AWS and
administration through automation (Ansible).
• Strong networking understanding if not direct experience with DNS, Subnets, routing, security
groups, whitelisting, firewalls, and various networking concepts
• Expert on Infrastructure as Code using Terraform etc.
• Expert level skills in administering Linux operating systems
• Expert on cloud native solutions, Docker, Kubernetes
• Direct experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CICD pipelines including concepts such as
variable abstractions, secrets management, service mesh and other cloud native concepts
• A strong understanding of SSL, OAUTH, TLS, IAM Roles, and general security best
practices.
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud solutions and a strong understanding of industry practices
implementing secure IAM and VPC based solutions.
• Scripting abilities in some or all the following: Python, BASH etc.
• Exposure to modern Monitoring tools like NewRelic and Prometheus
• AWS certification of some level or specialty
