1. This role is to be the custodian of marketing finance, its related controls & compliance of the company
closely working with the Sales & Marketing teams on the Order to Cash process. Responsibilities include
developing and ensuring adherence to policies & operations framework, credit controls & management,
discounts, rebates, schemes, distribution expenses, receivables, inventory analysis and reporting. Key
responsibility is to enable automation through adoption of latest IT tools & technologies and transition
activities that can be centralised to Shared Services Centre
Key Responsibilities:
2. Strategic
• Preparation and rollout of annual budgets in co-ordination with Sales & Marketing teams.
• Develop policy and framework for pricing, credit control and management.
• Ensure adequate Internal Financial Controls on marketing finance activities and compliance
to policy and operational framework. Partner with IT in establishing system-based controls
and continuous improvements in monitoring and reporting systems.
• Co-ordinate with sales and marketing heads and develop a framework for discounts, rebates
and marketing schemes.
• Ensure centralized scheme management system. Control marketing budgets for schemes,
claims, distribution expenses. Analyse, report and suggest on improving the effectiveness of
marketing schemes.
• Develop and publish dashboards on Division and Dealer financial performance. Ensure smart
analysis and standardised reports from divisions.
• Develop roadmap for process automation. Partner with Shared Services and IT team for
transition of AR activities to Shared Service Centre.

3. Operational
• Oversee the marketing finance activities of the company including SBUs and divisions
• Perform dealer credit assessments and dealer appointments in line with policy. Ensure proper
system for dealer document management. Ensure high adoption to dealer portal usage.
• Conduct periodic credit reviews, set up annual credit limits for customers, control credit
extension and management of credit blocks.
• Work closely with Sales and Marketing Heads and Business Finance Heads on finalizing the
discounts, rebates and schemes across SBUs, products and divisions. Issue price circulars.
• Ensure timely and accurate sales and collection accounting across SBUS & divisions and SBUs.
Ensure al month close activities are completed including timely accounting and settlement of
discounts, rebates and schemes.
• Ensure maximum adoption to electronic receipt of funds, collaborate with treasury on sales
collection and channel financing options.
• Monitor receivables status, analyze and report overdue receivables. Work with sales and
marketing teams on expediting collections on overdue receivables.
• Ensure proper mechanisms for obtaining customer confirmation of balances and resolution of
open items / grievances relating to financial matters. Co-ordinate with marketing and legal
department for initiating legal action on disputed / old claims
• Support in H&T appointments, agreement renewals with H&T and C&F agents. Develop and
maintain a central repository of agreements. Participate in Secondary transportation / rate
contracts.
• Monitor inventory at depots with special emphasis on aging and unlifted stocks. Ensure field
controllers perform periodic physical verification of stocks and depots, reconcile and report.
• Ensure sales return, provisioning, write offs are in line with approved DOA
• Ensure asset management relating to sales & marketing function and at divisional offices.
• Visit divisions, regions and review marketing finance operations. Meet / interact with dealers and
distributors, establish connect with key dealers.
• Ensure timely MIS and variance analysis.
• Build a collaborative and high-performance team.
4. Financial
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial matters.
• Closely work with the accounting team on compliance to accounting standards and guidelines.
• Ensure quality in analytics and support in decision makin
Educational Qualification • CA-Mandatory
Experience • 20 - 25 years’ experience with at least 12 years handling
Marketing Finance and Controllership functions.
The Industry to be hired from • Experience in FMCG / large companies with B2C set up having sales
operations across multiple locations.
