Job Description

• Responsible for the overall quality control aspects of raw materials, in-process and finished products. Set quality standards and ensure compliance.
• Responsible under the PFA & Rules for ensuring that products meet with PFA rules and take all steps necessary to prevent the commission of any offence by the company.
• Provide direction, assistance and support for corrective actions and recommendations to assure plant safety and product quality improvements.
• Obtains and maintains Health & Safety records and required Environmental permits, licenses and documents.
• Assure that the processes are in place to evaluate and conduct near miss, incident, injury, or illness investigations to discover root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
• Coordinate for compliance with all regulatory and Company defined food safety and sanitation standards, systems, procedures, and programs to guarantee absolute quality and food safety of products. Examples of these systems include:
- Vendor Certification, Inbound and Outbound Inspection, Ingredient, Intermediate and Finished Product Inspection, Microbiological Testing, Product Traceability, HACCP, Allergen, Sanitation, Pest Control, and Food Safety and Quality Systems Training
• Provide documented reports of QA / QC audits findings with corrective actions for resolution and remediation on monthly basis.
• Provide hands-on QA / QC training to local teams to assure understanding, knowledge and standardization by meeting or exceeding expectations and goals.
• Identify and provides request for industrial hygiene assistance and testing needed or planned.
• Ensure product quality and Food safety, environmental, health, safety and security activities for plant are accomplished as required by regulatory or policy requirements
