POSITION TITLE Business Development Manager
FUNCTIONAL BAND Marketing and Sales
REPORTING TO
EXTERNAL INTERFACES Architects, Builders, Contractors, End Users
INTERNAL INTERFACES Regional Sales Team

ROLE DESCRIPTION

OPERATIONAL
Create and maintain working business relationships with architects and consultants
Develop and implement a comprehensive business development plan for the country enabling growing the market pie to increase revenue and profits
Plan, lead and control the marketing events in the regions and cities
Build on existing customer base for customer recall and establish new customer base
Arrange for product presentation to the architects and consultants
Maintain relevant data in the prescribed format
Co-ordinate with immediate supervisor and with the other team members of the country for smooth flow of information

PEOPLE
Interact with the sales team members to provide necessary information and ensure co-ordination for creating and holding the specifications in projects
Interact with internal sales team members to maximize sales from the projects

FINANCIAL
Responsible for business development within the country
Maintain cost discipline
Ensure 'x' amount of business development is translated into sales through co-ordination
Responsible for co-ordination with Finance for timely submission of expenses related to Marketing and Business Development

Requirements

Graduate preferably with Engineering background. Management qualification will be an added advantage
5 to 10 years experience in building and construction industry. Exposure to façade industry will be an added advantage
