Job Description
The GL/Consolidation accountant provides direct support for general ledger and consolidation support in day-to-day and month end close process.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the Consolidation Manager with the day-to-day, monthly, quarterly, and year end operations of general ledger and international accounting.
Performs cash clearing, month end accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries within the corporate accounting function.
Performs general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, accruals and convertible debt.
Prepares intercompany cash and settlement entries, clear open items for cash and intercompany accounts, and perform TB upload for certain foreign subsidiaries.
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information.
Maintains and performs administrative function for Blackline system.
Understanding your processes and systems, the interconnection with upstream and downstream processes and identifying process improvements.
Participates and contributes to Ad Hoc projects at corporate accounting group.
