Job Description

What this job entails:
• Lead the Growth & Strategy function for your Business Unit,
• Define the 1-year / 3-year / 5-year strategy of your Business Unit - Research market trends, customer needs / segments & ecosystem trends
• Identify & build growth capabilities & enablers that will drive significant growth in online category penetration and category GMV. These growth opportunities could span across conversion improvement, new customer acquisition, increasing ASP & inorganic growth avenues / new business models.
• Identify and build capabilities and initiatives that will drive significant improvement in bottom-line of your category – either through cost reduction, price/product mix improvement or new revenue streams
• Work closely with category teams, cross functional teams and/or external partners to pilot, build & scale such capabilities in a sustainable manner. Own, set-up and track output metrics for each project (Category growth, Adoption, ROI)
• Own critical horizontal customer experience & efficiency improvement programs for your business – Returns, Speed, NPS etc.
• Lead a team of 6-8 members.

Requirements

What You Should Have:
• 8+ years of work experience, with a mix of stints across strategy / consulting roles and core sales / business / operational roles in the consumer products / retail industry. E-commerce category / product experience a bonus
• Ability to take a strategic lens and define clear short, mid & long term growth roadmaps
• Strong customer understanding and analytical orientation / bent of mind
• Bias for Action - The candidate should be proactive & a self-starter, with a customer & Flipkart-first orientation
• Strong business understanding – ability to derive from data/insight to clear business actions
• Holistic execution skills - ability to lead initiatives involving multiple functions like category management, product/technology, finance, marketing, supply chain etc. Able to navigate through complex programs independently
• Strong Communication / Stakeholder management skills; ability to work directly with leaders across internal teams and external clients
• Great team player and manager – ability to build and develop high-performing teams, and champion the cause with other stakeholder teams
