Job Description

• Work closely with the business users to capture and refine business decisions and requirements to a sufficient level of detail for system solutions to be developed.
•Assist PMO with planning, testing and deployment of Payroll platform
• The Payroll Business Analyst serves as the functional subject matter expert for the team.
•The position will work with a team of business analysts that serve as Banner functional subject matter experts focused on supporting strategic initiatives, enterprise projects/programs, and business enhancements.
•Perform in-depth internal testing of system changes to prepare the system for business user testing.
•Identify opportunities to reduce or prevent incidents occurring such as educating/training end-users, or functional/technical changes.
•Plan, prepare and execute functional, and system testing and assist in issue resolution; develop test cases as required.
•Partnering with designated Business Process Leads to analyze current state business processes, identify pain-points, and developing recommendations for process/system improvement.
•Serving as project lead on small or medium initiatives.
•Conducting stakeholder workshops to elicit requirements.
•Developing process models and other project deliverables using Microsoft Office tools such as Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•Facilitating formal user acceptance testing and participating in testing activities such as test case creation, execution, and issue resolution

Requirements

•Bachelor/master’s degree from a three/four-year college or university
•Relevant of 5-7 years of experience in a Business Analyst role
•Knowledge of one or more of the Payroll application systems preferred
•Extensive experience in, systems/Data integration, defining business requirements and requirements documentation
•Experience with Microsoft Office preferred (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, Outlook etc.)
•Effective communication, analytical, computer, and interpersonal skills.
•Demonstrated aptitude for acquiring new technical skills in data reporting
•Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
•Strong aptitude for process improvement
•Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines
•Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
•May resolve problems within established practices
