Work Experience – 15- 25 years
Experience in Sales/Commercial role – 10 + Years
Experience in managing a team – min 5 years – especially experience in handling team based in various parts of India.
Experience in handling a P&L – min 3 years
Graduate – Preferably Engineering
MBA or equivalent
Industry – Construction – experience preferably in Irrigation projects or Infrastructure projects or Pipeline Projects.
Has an advanced knowledge and contacts with the various stakeholders in the industry. For example – contractors, consultants, various governments entities etc...
Experienced in estimation, tendering, business development
Has excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Experience in forecasting, market analysis , budgeting
Proven ability to interact effectively with Senior Executives and cross functional teams.
The jobholder is responsible for leading a sales team (direct & indirect) for the region for generating sales, maintaining customer relationships, expanding customer database and market share. To work in line with the sales targets and objectives, provide information of the prevailing market conditions and provide sales reports as required by the management. The jobholder combines sales skills with technical knowledge.
This role involves extensive travelling across the region in order to develop the business, customer contact and contact with the sales team spread across.
To meet the defined KPI’s set as per the Budget.
To maintain, strengthen existing customer relationships and developing new potential ones.
Responsible for all customer accounts of the team and ensures response to all customer enquiries are in a timely manner through a commercial approach such as: visiting customers, getting involved in an early stage of new projects, understanding the customer needs, establishing reports, advising customers and after sales support
Be able to assimilate the technical promotion of products and to offer it with our customers as per their requirements
To lead and manage the sales team in achieving the goals set for the team through setting clear team goals and ensuring all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities by defining individual goals and objectives for each team member.
Actively involved and review in tender negotiation and contract terms in order meet both client and company needs.
Marketing analysis: to monitor, evaluate and follow the market evolutions, new or prospective projects.
Aggressively increase market share and closely monitor upcoming projects in the assigned region.
To develop business through create market awareness of various solutions offered in order though seminars, customer events, presentation etc.
To encourage Learning and Development of each individual team member through mentoring, additional responsibilities, through providing constructive feedback on strengths and areas of development.
To lead and ensure all team members carry out their activities in a safe and healthy environment as per the Company Health and Safety Policy.
