Job Description

Lead Software Engineering - Java Developer
We are currently seeking an experienced Applications Developer to support the Investor Services business in Asia Pacific.
Your key responsibilities will include: At least 8-12 years’ experience in the design and implementation of business applications, preferably obtained within financial services.

a. Working with the Application Development Team Lead, business analysts and other stakeholders to understand application requirements.
b. Preparing technical specifications based on approved business requirements document ensuring compliance with current architecture.
c. Identifying and escalating gaps in the current architecture that the new solution may expose.
d. Developing software according to technical requirements, project delivery framework and internal system development procedure and standards.
e. Developing applications using a Practice Test Driven Development approach.
f. Providing support for the solution throughout the project and post implementation support, as required.
g. Technically guiding the junior resources and walking them through the development-designing path for any errors.

Requirements

Primary skills: Java , RDMS / Bigdata DB, • Cloud / Kubernetes / Containers experience would be an advantage Core Java 5.0+, Ajax, Reactjs, Spring, Hibernate framework, iBatis, Web Services on Java, OOP concepts, Tech Analysis/Design/documentation, Release Management, Team leading skills, self-starter, well versed with SDLC & Agile methodologies & good communication Skills.

Secondary Skills: J2EE Development Framework involving JSP, Servlets, Oracle 11g PL/SQL development, Unix Shell/Perl Scripting, Oracle performance tuning, GIT, JIRA.
Hands on experience managing sprints within Agile methodologies and an understanding of product & system development lifecycles.
An ability to manage key stakeholders and to deliver tasks across dynamic, mixed disciplinary teams.
