Job Title : General Manager – Quality Assurance
Department : Quality Assurance
Reports To (Functionally) : Head Marketing & Commodity Business Team
Reports To (Admiistratively): Executive Vice President & Head Plant
1. Purpose:
The main scope of the role is to lead the journey towards maintaining and monitoring Quality consistency across all process of the Company thereby adhering Quality Assurance Systems, support to cross functional teams (Plant processes, Technology, Marketing, Logistics, Customers) and enabling human resources in order to contribute sustainable competitive advantage.

3. Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
 Responsible for highlighting polyolefin business technology market and help in new development and initiative in polyolefin grade platform by monitoring additional parameter of Polyolefin grade in order to maintain Quality brand and customer satisfaction.
 Motivate for active participation on Polyolefin characterisation , troubleshooting , imbibing technology and customer complaint feedback.
 Initiate continuous benchmarking information for quality brand retention from customer feedback and complaint and take predictive and preventive measures to control repetitive complaint and maintaining Quality consistency.
 Preserve customer loyalty by providing total transparency to customer on the products.
 Monitor activity report of Quality Assurance team and monitor loyalty in Quality Assurance System adherence and follow up.
 Implementation of Excellence in Quality Assurance System and ensuring right quality standards across the plants.
 Facilitate and enable proper training and development, empower and delegate proper functioning across all levels.
 Guiding team members in daily operations, trouble shooting, planning, cost control, profitability improvement, grade development initiative and resolving customer complaints proactively.
 Leading the team by example and orientated towards problem solving in a collaborative framework.
4. Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering / Polymer Science & Technology from an institute of repute. A PhD degree in Chemical / Polymer Science & Technology will be preferable.
5. Experience:
Around 24-30 years of post-qualification experience In Petrochemical / Chemical / Refinery Operations with 7-10 years of senior management experience in a Petrochemical / Chemical / Refinery complex with yearly revenue over INR 5000 Crores.
6. Knowledge:
 Comprehensive knowledge of Structure Property Understanding of Polymers, Troubleshooting , Product Development , Addressing Customer Complaint, Support to Technology and Marketing.
 In-depth knowledge in latest concepts, trends and practices of large scale process industries with special emphasis to Quality Assurance Standards in Petrochemicals / Chemical / Refinery industries.
7. Skills & Behaviour:
 The incumbent needs to be a strong leader with an ability to personally counsel employees at all levels below him in Quality Assurance Department.
 He must have good commercial acumen, be a persuasive communicator, politically savvy, possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and be capable of thinking strategically.
 He should have an excellent man-management skills and building relationships, especially with external (Central Institutes of Plastics and Engineering and Technology, National Chemical Laboratory) and internal people, at the senior level.
