Head -Sales & Marketing – API Commercial

About the Role

This business-critical leadership role is responsible for spearheading Sales and marketing for Client’s API Commercial business. The role-holder will need to utilize vision, think strategically, and develop international strategies for API key accounts globally while building an industry-leading strategic team and contributing to top line growth.

Reporting Structure
The role would report into the Global Head -API Commercial of Client. All the regional heads of regulated and sem-regulated markets will report into this position.

Key Focus Areas

• Sales and Account Management - Grow the share of API business, as well as expand the relationships within the existing customers and identifying influencers, gatekeepers, decision makers globally. Direct and align with Global and Regional marketing heads to further penetrate the client organizations
• Lead within a cross functional and matrix environment. Liaise with cross-functional leadership such as Quality, Regulatory ,R&D and Manufacturing for meeting customer demands related to products in various regions
• Identification of markets and customers for new products and products in pipe-line. Ensure commercialization, successful launches and sales of new products once commercialized.
• Directly manage major and developing API client accounts, and coordinate the management of all other accounts
• Represent the company at various international and/or business meetings to promote the company. Also promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors
• Identify trends and opportunities in the global API landscape and utilize them to design and customize key account business strategies in the various markets worldwide

Role Requirements:
• The ideal candidate would have relevant industry experience leading API Sales and Marketing areas with experience in both Regulated/ Semi-regulated markets.
• Hands-on experience of Licensing deals, M&A and new market entry and development would be an added advantage.
A candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree in business, science, or related field plus MBA (Marketing/ Finance) from a reputed institute preferred
