Job Description

Purpose of the role:

The role primarily consists of supporting the global macro research team in analyzing macroeconomic developments and gauging their market implications across asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the team's macro research process using qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze macroeconomic developments and their implications for markets
• Building and maintaining charts on key economic and market indicators, putting together presentations and other materials to disseminate the team's views
• Preparing coverage on policy, political or other relevant developments for internal meetings
• Participating in team discussions on macro views

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters in Economics
• 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Strong understanding of data and applied quantitative skills, with experience in a programming language, preferred
• Strong understanding of macroeconomics and its linkages to markets
• Enthusiastic about the challenges of forming forward-looking, out of consensus views with the aim to add value to the investment process
• Experience in automation using advanced excel and VBA macros will be a plus.
• Working knowledge of visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc., will be a plus.
