Job Description

• Lead the TechOps team for a line of business in Pitney Bowes.
• Assigns and monitors work of technical ops members, ensuring that all applications are monitored with full coverage. Have alerts, pager duty in place for TechOps team to be aware of issues.
• Perform Mock runs to ensure that right processes are in place should there be any outages.
• Do POC’s and find ways to optimized monitoring
• Be part of Product development scrums to identify what all features are being developed and be ready with monitors – infra and application both well before launch.
• Maintains the program and have SLA reporting weekly to management, ensure that availability dashboards and Operations team metrics are reported weekly to management.
• Communicates effectively on risks, issues, and changes associated to the product development initiatives
• Find ways to optimize, use technology to automate monitoring.
• Building and grooming SME’s within the team to ensure that team works in SRE mindset.
• Identify training needs for team to upskill to support portfolio.
• Responsible for complex technical management coordination with multiple vendors and staff
• You will design and implement monitoring solutions using advanced tools like Sumologic, Dynatrace , Splunk, Cloudwatch
• Execute technical operations including Monitoring, Automation, Network, Cloud, Security, Release Management, Reliability Engineering

Requirements

• Possesses high level understanding in the areas of APIs, Databases, Systems Architecture and Design
• Experience in infrastructure, security and compliance
• Demonstrated experience in leveraging monitoring frameworks to drive continuous
• performance enhancements in web based commercial products.
• Experience of SaaS based product support.
• Experience with Sumo Logic/App dynamic, Prometheus/Grafana/ Nagios is a must.
• Experience with Dynatrace is a plus.
• Experience of app deployed on Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong experience with AWS, and experience in cloud and network administration
• Working knowledge of infrastructure as code experience (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Understanding on how to measure system degradation and system failures.
• Experience in scripting languages (shell scripts, Perl, Python)
• Platform s- Windows, Linux
• 8-10 years relevant experience in Product/Application Support L2 level with minimum 3+ years of leadership experience
