Job Description

Purpose of the Role:
This role is placed in the Reporting & Systems vertical within General Counsel Shared Services. The role will be responsible for providing functional admin support for various systems within GC. This may involve varied degree of interactions with different operational support teams, regional risk/ compliance teams, other General Counsel departments as well as general staff members across the globe

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first line support to the users of the various systems
• Become a subject matter expert in all areas of the system so that staff see you as the ‘go to’ person to sort out their issues regarding the system or how they log items
• Perform tasks such as user management (creating, adding and deleting users or business roles), global authorisations, global and custom lists
• Maintain and update reference data
• Have thorough understanding of system functionality and work strategically with teams in both the first and second line of defence to ensure that all out of the box functionality is used to its greatest impact.
• Resolve access issues and work closely with technology teams and vendor support if bugs or issues arise that require technical resolution
• Address systems queries
• Work with the technology development and production support teams in the resolution of production issues where required
• As an expert in the system you will be expected to provide support in scoping out systems requirements
• Conducting business validation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system releases
• Stakeholder Management and Interaction with Head of Departments
• Issue prioritization and Risk Management
• Ad-hoc Reporting


Experience and Educational Qualifications

• At least 2-4 years of overall experience preferably in Financial Services with exposure to technical support
• Graduation (must), preferably in Engineering, Commerce or Economics

Essential Skills

• High degree of proficiency in MS excel (strong knowledge of pivot tables, data sorting, filters, etc). Ability to develop complex models and data structures, including macros, will be of advantage
• Analytical approach and problem solving skills - ability to analyse data (qualitative & quantitative) and generate improvement hypotheses
• Experience of working with cross cultural teams across the globe in project based environment
• Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to influence without authority, to successfully challenge consensus and think independently
• High degree of comfort in working with ambiguity and under pressure, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write clear and well-structured reports on issues
• Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn and a positive work ethic
• Proactive and willing to use initiative
• Consistently reliable, methodical, adaptable, resourceful, enthusiastic, dedicated, self-motivated and commercially minded

• Experience to Power BI and other visualization tools
• Focussed on providing high level customer service
• Flexible and adaptable, responds rapidly to changing agendas
• Ability to use good judgement in the use of confidential information
• Clear open communication with a willingness to learn & listen
