Job Description

Purpose of the Role
The Data & Insight team within the Global Procurement function has an opening for an assistant manager responsible for developing and managing analytics to support all facets of company's supply chain. The Assistant manager will identify, develop and manage requirements to support procurement analytics delivered to procurement operations, sourcing managers, senior management, Board members and a variety of business stakeholders.
The team will link Global Procurement strategy to tools, processes, and analytics. It may include monitoring and reporting on overall supplier spend, trend analysis, opportunity assessments, procurement dashboards, forecasting, configuration management, data integration, business intelligence and ERP. The team assists in the interpretation of results. They may collect and analyses external market data to provide benchmarks for comparison purposes and present reports to management for use in decision making and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
Working with stakeholders, develop and present analyses and insight to a variety of audiences
Provide support to the sourcing managers by providing reporting / analytics on contract & licence renewals, spend, savings, compliance, progress towards goals, assessment of supplier proposals, scoring of submitted proposals for bids, etc.
Identify, define, and develop data requirements related to supplier, supply chain and financial measures
Perform data assessments, validation, and enhancement activities
Provide meaningful and easy to use data that aligns to business needs including standard views, ad hoc analysis and data integration
Support communication and change management activities associated with new and existing tools
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of procurement, systems and data analysis best practices

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications Required
5-7 years of experience in analytics
Experience of working in Financial Services / procurement
Understanding of the end to end procurement process and experience of delivering analytics across procurement and finance metrics
Strong understanding of quantitative/qualitative data assessment
Ability to plan, organize, and manage time across multiple tasks and stakeholders, working individually or as a member of a cross-functional team
Proactive approach to stakeholder engagement at all levels, problem solving, and ongoing development of analytics and insight
Flexible, action-oriented team player with the ability to attend to the detail but also have the aptitude to understand and address the bigger picture
Strong familiarity with Business Intelligence, ERP systems and data visualization tools
Development and delivery of consistent, accurate, clear reporting via advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, Alteryx, Oracle BI, Tableau data prep and PowerBI
Experience on Excel Macros and data modelling
Experience of R / Python is an added advantage
Should have exposure to working in a global environment with an ability to work with people across the globe in different time zones and with different cultures
