Job Description

The Workforce Planning Senior Analyst is a strategic partner to HR Business Partners in driving and tracking an integrated workforce plan across all employee types. Additionally, they leverage reporting tools from HR operations to provide deeper people analytics and reporting eventually leading to proactive and predictive measures to improve engagement and retention of Company's employees. The Sr. Analyst is responsible for initiating and delivering innovative work through a matrixed, cross-functional team and in a global environment. The role specifically supports the business-level analytics of the team(s) to which they are assigned, in addition to supporting global projects on an as-needed basis.

The Sr. Analyst also collaborates with finance and operations leaders of the business(es) they support to manage corporate productivity metrics and top-line key performance indicators (KPIs). The partnership with the FP&A function in Finance, as well as operational leaders performing strategy and planning roles in each business unit, is key to the success of this role in order to enhance and improve the headcount planning process with greater degrees of foresight and accuracy.

Requirements

Specific responsibilities include:

 

Follow Company's Management system processes to understand the total cost of the workforce, including regular and contingent workers, to quickly provide insights on a regular basis
Partner with operations executives, Finance, and HR business partners from each business and function to improve headcount planning process
Translate data into actionable insights to reduce attrition, optimize organizational structures, and reduce costs
Create regular reports for HR Business Partners to drive improvement of organizational KPIs
Synthesize data from various sources to recommend solutions for the organization and teams
Consult with HR Business Partners on org design and workforce management initiatives
Conduct research to determine industry benchmarks and best practices. Identify potential areas for improvement.
Help on global analytics and ad-hoc projects as needed

 

 

Job Qualifications & Key Competencies

Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 5– 7 years of previous workforce planning experience within multi-national public companies, with strong preference for the technology industry
Strong expertise in capacity modeling, workforce management tools, reporting, and operational planning methodologies
Deep knowledge of headcount planning and the cycles companies go through to manage a workforce
A creative, strategic thinker who challenges the status quo and fosters unique approaches to presenting data and driving change
Extremely client focused with the ability to build rapport while driving global programs and localizing as needed
An empowered self-starter able to work without significant oversight and follow through to impactful execution
Critical thinking and an ability to understand complex business issues to distill important messaging from data
Passion for engaging in complex problems that require partnership across teams
Be coachable and open to embracing new ways of doing things
Experience in Power BI or Vizier is preferred.
