SunEdison Infrastructure Ltd has been a market leader in Solar Power Development working on
innovation and development in the field of Solar.
Solar water pumps and rural electrification has been a prime area for innovation for the last few years.
In this duration, we have installed more than 50 micro-grids and over 4000 solar irrigation pumps. We
have executed Solar Water Pump contracts of INR 300 Cr across India. SunEdison has been passionately
working with a mission to positively impact the lives of economically weaker and unreached sections
by continuously innovating in the field of decentralized solar. We have piloted the world’s first grid
connected solar water pump project in Harobele, Karnataka. This has enabled the farmers to increase
their income. SunEdison has been instrumental in leading the efforts to provide solar water pumps for
the saltpan workers (Agariyas), thereby improving their lives dramatically. We have a presence in 14
states for after sale support. We enter into power purchase agreements with Private as well as
Government Institutions.
SunEdison is also in the business of Rooftop RESCO. SunEdison has operating assets and a portfolio of
more than 200 MWs in this segment.
SunEdison pioneered India’s first EMI model (Annuity based) to procure Solar energy. A deep
understanding of the solar sectors risk and the ecosystem has enabled us to successfully ideate and
create India’s first annuity based Rooftop Solar Asset procurement, which could become the model for
all the other States.
Job Description
Position Summary: This position supports and control projects from tender to execution, monitor risks
and financial KPIs on the Project portfolio.
Position Responsbility:
Responsible for Project planning, Project Schedule Development and Cost Controls
Be responsible for suitable work breakdown structure for all Projects and baseline preparation
and management, resource loading and analysis, progress update and cash flow integration
based
Establish and communicate cost and schedule baseline and ensure control mechanisms are in
place to monitor performance
Management of the progress measurement system and reporting set-up and implementation
Lead role in tender preparation and planning, review work schedules, and ensure risks are
properly communicated
Ensure there is requisite resources and skills available to meet project needs and be accurate
on resource utilization reporting and resource planning
Manage project portfolio and identify and mitigate transactional and systemic risk to cost and
schedule
Lead Project Management in the transition of each project from its planning phase to
construction phase and closely collaborate and align with all stakeholders for successful
completion of the Project.
Works in support of Project Management during materials procurement to ensure compliance
with construction plans and specifications as per Work order
Comply with Quality procedures, work instructions and process creation. This also involves
reporting and resolving any non-conformances and process in a timely manner
Manage and track project milestones as per the work order and create necessary awareness
for driving performance driven culture
Leads project kick off meetings and project review meetings, and assists in developing and
making necessary presentation and dashboard
Establish and agree the level and frequency of reporting required by the project with the use
of effective tools
Review overall project status with all members of the operation team and recommend
corrective action where necessary
Ensure that all cost, planning and document control reports are prepared and issued in
accordance with Project Coordination Procedures
Liaise with all other Departments at all meetings relevant to project operations and ensure time
and cost plans are updated to reflect latest information.
Requirements
Position Experience and Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a reputed institute along with Masters in Business Management
is desirable
At least 5-8 years of successful and progressively responsible Solar Construction and planning
experience
Minimum of three (3) years of planning experience or its position equivalent
Hindi speaking is a mandatory requirement and expected travel of minimum 30%
Strong understanding of Project/ Product design and construction planning integration, and
the collaborative process between Design & Engineering, Supply Chain and Construction
Relevant experience in Project Management, Project controls and Cost control functions role
in Solar or similar industries
Working knowledge of accepted finance principles and project cost-accounting practices
Deep domain knowledge of planning, cost and Quality. Effective use of tools with sophisticated
analysis.
Inspires confidence in decision making, reasoning, and objective judgement
Creates positive working relationship with Co-workers, Sub-contractors, Vendors and others
High proficiency in use of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point & MS Office) and
Primavera
Manages time effectively, Is organized, detail oriented, and able to Multi-task
Communicates effectively and professional both verbally and in writing.
