Job Description

Designation- AGM/Senior Manager- Business Development

Position Summary: This position is critical for developing Business plan and activities in Gujarat state in Rural Energy Services BU, which covers exploring need of customers, understanding the business potential, propose and strategize business idea, developing business and financial model and enhancing customer experience for scale and volume

Objective of this Role include:
• Strengthen existing business activity for Agariyas
• Develop new business model for Rural community by understanding their need
• Develop channel partners around the business activities to achieve desired results
• Understand the customer affordability for the solution and propose suitable business model
• Handling P&L
• Negotiate & collaborate with end customers for proposed solutions and attend trade shows, connect with industry associations to improve SE brand locally

Position Responsibility (Should have maximum 10 deliverables, clear & precise)

Business Development (for existing projects)
• Liaise with Agariyas for document collection & handholding process
• Liaise with government officers for subsidy process and timely disbursement of subsidy
• Interact with different agencies/middlemen to handhold the Agariyas to fulfil the necessary documents
• Be responsible for identifying potential customer through Site Survey and build brand through Demo, Promotions and Events
• Signing off the customers and collecting necessary pay-cheques from them
Business Development (for new projects)
• Interacting with different institutional agencies, large commercial houses & different segment of farmers and explore the need for deployment of Solar Energy or any other solution
• Do the market assessment and develop the business potential
• Carry out the cost benefit analysis and a derive value out of it
• Develop a Techno-commercial proposal with strong sense of reality and possibility
Technical Analysis & Branding
• Able to analyse the technical requirements and specification for customer
• Check holistically technical designs and ensure it meets customer requirement
Channel Partnership
• Able to explore & collaborate with different channel partners to increase customer base
• Responsible for competitive response, market intelligence, competitive tracking, regional pricing and specialized pricing


Desired Technical Skills: Sales Experience in Private, Public or Non-Profit, Ability to understand Policies and Program influence stakeholders, Excellent Marketing Strategy skills with proven business acumen, Highly numerate with strong ability in financial analysis & models, Gravitas to network and negotiate, exceptional project management and analytical skills

Desired Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, Exceptional Interpersonal skills, Tact & Diplomacy, Creativity, Presentation Skills and possesses high curiosity quotient with collaboration skills
