Purpose of the Role
You will be expected to take a leading role in developing the Analytics capabilities for our businesses. This will involve:
• Engaging with the key stakeholders to understand sales, marketing, client services and propositions context
• Engaging and collaborating with different other internal teams like data support team, technology team for development of new tools, capabilities and solutions.
• Designing solutions and developing insights through analytics in areas of Deep Learning/Machine Learning
• Work collaboratively with the Business and Emerging Technologies by providing AI / Machine Learning development expertise using open source programming and/or other proprietary tools.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management (10-20%)
• Works with channel heads/stakeholders and other sponsors understand the business problem and translate it into appropriate analytics solution.
• Engages with key stakeholders for smooth execution, delivery and implementation of solutions
Developing and delivering solutions (40-50%)
• Works independently on complex statistical analysis such as deep learning, machine learning, statistical modelling using tools like Python
• Full lifecycle management of analytics engagements
• Works with tech groups to identify and resolve any data, environment, or implementation issues
Scorecards and Business Planning :
Enhance FIC scorecarding capabilities for Sales, Leadership, Vendor Management and Committees
Develop flexible backend and front end systems to support the collection and dissemination of KPI’s
Machine Learning / Statistics Oriented Analytical Support
Time series, regression, affinity, clustering & decision tree model development
Research and development of emerging analytics techniques (e.g. deep learning / natural language processing)
Embed analytics techniques into day to day operations: measurement of advertising and corporate event effectiveness
Drive AI/ML solutions
1. Enhance recommendations to include content based and collaborative filtering logic
2. Geospatial segmentation enhancements with Adobe Audience Manager
3. Working knowledge of SageMaker (end to ML platform) for use on new Bell AWS cloud offering is good to have
Collaboration and Ownership (5-10%)
• Sharing of knowledge, best practices with the team including coaching or training in some of deep learning/machine learning methodologies. Provides mentoring, coaching, and consulting advice and guidance to staff, e.g. analytic methodologies, data recommendations
• Takes complete independent ownership of the projects and the initiatives in the team with the minimal support
• Centralized analytics expertise reduces redundancies and maintains consistent impartial messaging to management
Developing/evaluating tools, methodologies or infrastructure: (25-30%)
• Evaluates/develops, advance tools, methodologies or infrastructure to support long-term business problems and take the group to the next level, e.g. modelling software, modelling methodologies, data and system requirements, scoring process, optimization environment
• Accelerate Development of AI/ML Solutions: Research of all new and existing AWS platform data science solutions (e.g. proprietary voice, image, translation and documentation analysis)
Experience and Qualifications Required
Qualifications:
Engineer from IIT/Master’s in field related to Data Science/Economics/Mathematics (Tie1 Institutions like ISI, Delhi School of Economics)/M.B.A from tier 1 institutions
Experience
• Overall 8 to 10 years of experience in Analytics
• 6+ years of experience in Python/Machine Learning/Deep Learning
• Experience of working in AWS Environment
• 6+ years of hands on experience in - Statistical Modelling /Machine Learning Techniques/Natural Language Processing/Deep Learning
• Should be able to run analytics applications such as Python, SAS and interpret statistical results
• Implementation of deep learning models with clear measurable outcomes
• Knowledge of SPARK/Hadoop/Big Data Platform will be preferred.
Key Competencies
• Ability to engage in discussion with senior stakeholders on defining business problems, designing analyses projects and articulating analytical insights to business managers
• Experience with secondary data and knowledge of primary market research is a plus
• Experience with unstructured data and big data
• Experience on SPARK/Hadoop/Big Data Platforms is a plus
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to independently own and manage the projects with minimal support
• High degree of comfort in working with ambiguity
• Excellent analytical skills and a strong sense for structure and logic
