Job Description
Position- Data visualizer
Objective - To help us harness the massive amounts of data that are being generated across our data landscape including our renewable energy assets. Need to work with internal cross-functional teams spanning IT & other businesses mainly Asset Management as well as with our external partners to develop tools to analyse, visualize, and act on our data. The dashboards should provide insights to senior management to boost our analytical & data driven decision making abilities to enable us to generate more clean energy at lower cost.
Design and deliver wireframes, user journeys, mock-ups, and ultimately commercial tools to visualize data about company's wind and solar power plant assets.
Collaborate closely with back-end data engineers and data architects, both within the company and external partner, to participate in the design, development, and analysis of data architecture and warehousing approaches.
Build dashboards and user interfaces (e.g., in Power BI, Tableau) that access complex data from data warehouses and display it in clear, concise, and actionable representations for decision making.
Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness); conduct design adjustments based on user feedback.
Deeply understand the business processes, translating those processes into data visualizations that can improve both operational and executive decision-making
Work with management to define the roadmap of data visualization products and take responsibility for delivering those products.
Collaborate with a technical product manager to define the analytics tools and specifications needed to produce effective data visualizations.
Lead the process for hiring or contracting resources to expand the data visualization function as required.
Requirements
Visual design and creative skills to transform data into business insights
Adept communicator who can conceptualize and communicate winning propositions to business.
Ability to work under own initiatives and under tight deadlines - planning, prioritising and controlling own workload.
Excellent analytical and project management skills to develop executable product plans
At least 5 years of relevant experience - data visualization and analysis
Graduate/Post graduate in preferably computer science with strong programming proficiency (JavaScript/HTML5/CSS)
Strong professional experience in using Power BI to build business intelligence dashboards and interfaces
Creative and aesthetic in interface design and visualization; also data-driven and detail-oriented in understanding underlying data structures. Domain knowledge in renewable energy is a plus
