Advisory Software Engineer

US Based Century old Product Engineering organisation. Having products reach across the industry. Spread in over 35-40 international locations.

• Analyse, design and develop complex database solutions to achieve business requirements collaborating with Business Stakeholders.
• Provide thought leadership in Analytics solutions that benefit customers through the use of Dashboards. This takes the form of contribution to research and recommend solutions in Big Data, Predictive Analytics & Cloud Computing
• Design and Develop internal Data Integration solutions and external SaaS data integrations
• Collaborate with other Front End, Database Developers and SQL DBAs.

• Graduate or Postgraduate. Technical degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
• 5 to 7 years of experience in Cloud computing, operations and/or solution deployment experience in a business-critical, high-availability context on AWS
• Experience in modern software development practices such as Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, test automation
• Experience in one or more Information Delivery platforms like Tableau, Power BI
• Experience building and supporting a Snowflake data warehouse eco system including Data integration and Analytics
• Implementation and performance tuning experience of Databases including knowledge of Schema Design, Query Tuning and Optimization, and Data Migration and Integration.
• Exposure to creating a Descriptive Analytics platform
• Exposure to building predictive models and automation using AI/ML
• Working knowledge of web services and experience in supporting such type of high availability products
• Effective communication & leadership skills
• Willing to work in a 24*5 profile with weekend on-call support
• Evaluate and incorporate new technologies into new and existing frameworks and solutions as applicable
