Department Description

The Technology function provides IT services to the International business, globally. These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, investment, compliance, finance, legal, marketing and customer service functions. The broader organisation incorporates Infrastructure services that the firm relies on to operate on a day to day basis including data centre, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation. The Central team comprises systems development and support specialists that provide support to departments such as HR Services, Finance, Corporate Services, Legal and Compliance, Risk and Technology across various geographic locations. The services include Production Support of in-house developed application and vendor provided products, small scale enhancements and product.

Purpose of your Role

The position is for an experienced Senior Test Analyst in the Investment Platform- Retail Technology team and will primarily be responsible for automation, test Execution and managing the testing activities in our IP Squads. Should possess business knowledge about the P&L/Deal Adjustment in banking. This will involve collaborating with stakeholders to ensure proper working of testing function(automation & Functional).

Key Responsibilities
Roles and responsibilities include working both on functional and automation side
Liaising directly with Testing team, Business or Product owner to develop strong understanding of the business processes and Integration requirements
Having business knowledge about Deal Adjustment will be an added advantage.
Create well defined and re-usable suites of functional tests for applications and products.
Designing and execution of Test Scenarios, Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Data.
Functional Testing of Financial Applications.
Creation and maintenance of Automation scripts.
Good understanding of SQL/Oracle Queries/Scripts to validate the data
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different levels of stakeholders in application delivery, QA and business groups
Maintain a current working knowledge of the key business systems and future developments.
Ability to analyse defects and spot bug trends.
Ability to accurately log defects, escalate issues and risks and provide accurate management reporting.
Think from a customer viewpoint and to understand the complexities of the business
Delivering tasks to an agreed schedule and quality.
Work closely with the Business Analysts to understand the requirements and apply the same while devising solutions.
Work hand-in-hand with the development team, architects and leads

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech. Or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a reputed University.
5-7 years of experience in automation/Functional testing preferably financial domain
Experience of working with multi-cultural and geographically disparate teams
Experience of working with Agile Methodologies. Should have Good knowledge of DevOps.

Essential Skills / Experience
Hands on experience in testing manual, automation and database testing.
Having business knowledge about Deal Adjustment will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of Java and automation test tools- Selenium, Soap UI.
Understanding of automation test principles, tools and frameworks.
Knowledge of software development life-cycle methodology and Agile methodology
Thorough understanding of test principles such as unit, smoke, functional (black box/white box), user acceptance and usability testing.
Experience and working knowledge of tools such as Jira.
Understanding of Defect life cycle.
Candidate must be familiar with financial domain.

Additional Information

Desirable Skills / Experience
Good exposure to Financial domain and familiarity with Multi Asset/Mutual Funds business
Understanding of multi-tiered technology architecture.
Experience of object oriented programming using languages such as Java, C# or Python
Experience in Dev Ops Practices, CI/CD Integration, Jenkins, Bit Bucket.
