Devops Architect

A US-based Product Engineering company, mostly known for its postage meters and other mailing equipment & services.

The Job

Help lead the transformation to modern DevOps at Organization by leveraging the latest cutting-edge technologies.
Provide timely, world class customer service for requests from all stakeholders and customers including; software development, QA, sustaining and project management. Typical requests would cover; CI/CD systems, SCM, branching, build systems and testing across multiple platform environments.
Engage with software development, QA and project management teams to prepare for deployment automation and enhancements required to support new engineering methodologies.
Provide recommendations to monitor and improve our engineering infrastructure.
Provide recommendations to monitor and improve our security infrastructure.
Drive improvements of tools used for continuous integration, automated testing and diagnostics, and release management.
Perform technical analysis to assess the scalability and reliability of the engineering infrastructure.
Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Source Code Management, Orchestration, CI/CD, Repository management tools, Monitoring and Logging tools, Escalation tools, AWS Services, Deployment Automation etc.
Staying up to date on new security tools & techniques, and act as a driver of innovation and process maturity.
Optimizing cloud cost models, network topology, platform services, and common storage options
Supporting, monitoring, administering, scaling AWS production environments

Qualifications & Skills required:

BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in implementing and managing DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines and GitLab based CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in implementing with Kubernetes, containerization (Docker), and container orchestration.
Strong hands-on experience in Cloud Native technologies implementations.
Must have a good hands-on experience with scripting using Shell, Python and Ansible.
Must have an experience in addressing issues with infrastructure security and compliance.
Experience in collaborating with fellow DevOps engineers.
Experience in working with monitoring tools Dynatrace, AppDynamics.
Experience with infrastructure tools like Ansible, Terraform.
Experience in developing and monitoring solutions using AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3, Data pipelines, CloudFormation), networking and access control.
Experience in supporting, monitoring, administering, scaling, micro services in AWS production environments.
Excellent troubleshooting, follow-through and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
Experience in working with various relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL/Aurora/ RDS, Redis, DynamoDB) is a plus.
