Job Description

Role : Strategic Vendor Management – Lead
Contract : 6 months and will be renewed after 6 months

Job Responsibilities

The self-motivated candidate will plan, organize and control business/contracts/negotiations for strategic acquisition of materials and services of technical or contractual nature within Site Operations department as it relates to Facilities and business operations. This Strategic Vendor Manager will be responsible for driving supplier contract management, conducting supplier negotiations, analytically formulating and executing comprehensive supplier management strategies based on competitive quotes and with long term benefit for the company. This person will be responsible for contracts negotiation, renewals, submitting it for legal review, initiating and following up on the procurement.
Responsible for negotiating, structuring, and/or administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with vendors, customers and/or partners. Works with sales and service teams as well as the legal department to structure contracts. Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance to company policy, government specifications and other requirements.
Develops specifications for new contract orders. Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards. Monitors cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. Evaluates vendor reliability and develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.
Oversees the negotiating, structuring, and management of contractual documents that establish business relationships with vendors, customers and/or partners. Reviews and approves documents for protection of the company's contractual posture and adherence to company policy. Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

o Facilitate supplier agreement negotiations, renegotiations and contract addendums. Negotiate performance-based, preferred supplier agreements, to provide incentive for continuous supplier improvement. Advises Site Ops leader on strategic plans.
o Source competitive quotes for Facilities, office, catering, transport, GIS, computers, IT, network equipment
o
o Represents Site Ops in cross-functional team meetings and projects, that focuses on supply challenges and ensures internal/external customer needs are satisfied.
o Works cross-functionally with Engineering, IT, Finance, HR and Corp Comm
o Define and monitor metrics in line with AOP (annual operating plan) objectives relative to supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement; then drives team to address and close gaps to meet objectives
o Fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of a vendor manager requires the ability to negotiate and understand a contract, the ability to analyze a cost-benefit analysis, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work closely with senior executives. Vendor managers are also expected to resolve disputes and search for mutually beneficial outcomes, and any history of doing so can help you stand out from other applicants
o Regularly evaluate cost and quality performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection. Develop and apply a strategic commodity plan to define a preferred supplier base for build-to-print commodities
o Prepare, review contracts and upload in myContracts
o Coordinate with attorneys in India and USA
o Create PR/PO in SAP
o Conduct interviews and meetings with new vendors.
o Ensure enterprise-wide needs for due diligence, risk assessment and continuing vendor monitoring are being accomplished.
o Help and coordinate vendor processes and methods to approve vendors.
o Ensure to track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance.
o Troubleshoot all vendor problems and present to management as required.
o Identify improvement areas internally as well as perform closely with all internal stakeholders to prepare solutions.
o Identify and implement continuously enhance efficiencies associated with vendor management plus produce fulfillment.
o Participate to formulate workflow processes, methods and policies for applying vendors.
o Ensure to collaborate with IT areas to assure vendor partners effectively manage plus contracts are completely leveraged.
o Prepare processes for as well as manage analysis, selection and transition.
o Stimulate steady process enhancement to present increasing operational efficiency in entire business partner processes
Qualification
o Requires excellent analytical and written/oral communication skills with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization including executives
o Previous project management experience and knowledge of basic project management concepts
o Experience with continuity planning and risk mitigation development with suppliers
o Experience in capacity planning, cost reduction approaches and lead time reduction
o Influence skills: experienced communicator with the ability to communicate critical thinking ideas and concepts. Capable of developing and delivering compelling arguments and presentations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and business processes
o Maintains current knowledge on relevant trends through professional networking, industry reports, trade journals, etc.

Requirements

Preferred Qualification
Education & Experience
• Minimum Education: B.Com//BS//MCom/MBA degree in Business or a technical field listed herein (but not limited to) the following: Operations Management, Global Supply Chain Management. MBA preferred
• Minimum Experience: 7+ years of experience in a Supply Chain, Operations, or production/planning environment. Preferably in Semiconductor industry
• Knowledge of Purchase Requisition / Purchase Order processing in SAP
• Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills and professional level of emotional intelligence necessary to achieve the desired objective deliverables
• Proven experience of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with history of successful resolution
• Exhibit attention to detail, sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment
