Job Title: Manager - Marketing

Location: Kolkata

Division: Advanced Carbon

Department: Strategy & Business Development

Reports to: Business Head

1. Purpose:

This position will be responsible for Strategizing the Product Positioning, Marketing, Market segment analysis, Sales and customer services to promote and support organization’s Advanced Carbon business in LIB segment in Chinese, European, and US territories and coordination with Global Accounts. Ensure a high level of customer loyalty and increased revenues. Serves as the primary interface for the products and services, it creates demand for the organization's products and services with customers on continuous basis. Provide support to production function as a strategic feed in the respective areas.

This role will act now as Individual Contributor but need to develop teams in future.

3. Dimensions of Position:

Area of Operations: Strategy, Business Development of Advanced Carbon Segment

4. Key Result Areas:

4.1 Market Identification & branding: To understand and evaluate the market and customer needs and thereafter recommend & implement specific sales & marketing strategies for Advanced Carbon and project as preferred brand to existing and prospective customers.

4.2 Business Planning: To participate in building overall business goals of the Company, followed by establishing a mid-term (around 3 years) business plan for Advanced Carbon segment

4.3 Sales Budget & Performance delivery: Starting with Sales budgeting in domestic industry segments and demographics, the position is responsible for overall Sales and profit of the business and develop, implement actions so that the Organization have strategic progress in most of the market segments and demographic regions.

4.4 Strategy & Business Development: Liaising with China, Europe and US and domestic key accounts in other international regions to be updated on the latest products and services offered, new product developments and future business plans. Also to work on future business generation and brand development in prospective customers in line with the business development strategies of the organization and contributing in P&L for the respective business area.

4.5 Customer Relationship Management: To cultivate and nurture relationship with senior and appropriate customer officials in procurement and operations so as to yield maximum leverage in the long run.

4.9 Market Intelligence and Building a team: Responsible to keep overall knowhow of the economic environment, customers’ marketing plans & productivity trends, Competitors’ movements & actions, following which, advise top management to take appropriate marketing strategies. Developing a Marketing Team to spread the footprints

4.10 Overall co-ordination and synergy development with Operations, Purchase, Finance, HR and Senior Management for effective running of business.

7. Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Mechanical / Chemical engineering & Post graduate specialization in Strategy/Marketing.

8. Experience & Knowledge:

 3-7 years of experience in in International and domestic markets.
 Exposure to Chinese / Europe and US will be a distinct advantage
 Hands on experience of using modern Marketing techniques and methodology and principles including different problem solving skills
 Age between 25 - 30 years

 Basic understanding of financial and commercial aspect

 Conceptual Knowledge of developing product positioning

9. Skills & Behaviour:

 Working knowledge of Spoken Chinese, (preferred)
 Strong problem solving ability & logical approach
