Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
Having a Deep understanding of Customs HSN System of Classification specifically for Airconditioning, Factory Automation, Power Semiconductor & Transportation Systems Industry.
Having a deep understanding with updates on Customs Laws, rules, procedures & regulations
Conversant & updated with Import & Export Regulations & Merchanting Trade
Experience in handling Disputes with Customs & Directorate of Revenue Intelligence
Having knowledge & understanding of Foreign Trade Policy of India.
Strong Liaison experience with Customs, DPIIT
Develop strategy for upcoming imports / exports on larger scale Pan India and for Overseas Projects.
Handling of Project and Raw Material Imports and related compliances under different schemes and licences.
Perform & Implement all Custom Clearance Activities such as following the upcoming shipments, documents transactions, transportation and all port activities within India and overseas.
Bill of Entry filing co-ordination with CHA, calculating & processing duties to be paid & day-to-day related activities in accordance with policies & procedures.
Liaise proactively with Officials in various agencies to ensure goods are cleared through Customs on time without delay and as per the EPM / SOP.
Planning and Coordination with freight forwarder and shipper for pick up and arrange Ex-works, FCA and FOB deliveries.
Prepare & confirm all Import duty exemptions from Central Tax and DGFT are applied well in advance and obtained before arrival of goods.
Insurance compliance and refund claims and closure of all pending bonds.
Timely payment to service providers.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Knowledge of Customs Laws, DGFT and GST compliances and other Government Regulations
Knowledge of Import & Export procedure.
Build team for larger scale of work in future.
Knowledge of domestic & overseas logistics requirements
Exposure to SAP
Good Interpersonal & Communication Skills.
Supervisory & Follow-up Skills, Problem Solving.
