Software Engineer Level 1

It is an American corporation that engages in the design, manufacture, marketing, and service of semiconductor processing equipment used in the fabrication of integrated circuits. Its products are used primarily in front-end wafer processing, which involves the steps that create the active components of semiconductor devices (transistors, capacitors) and their wiring (interconnects). The company also builds equipment for back-end wafer-level packaging (WLP), and for related manufacturing markets such as for microelectromechanical systems (MEMS).

Primary Responsibilities:

Write test cases and manually test new features.
Develop test scripts using test automation framework and maintenance.
Ensure proper version control and maintenance of test scripts developed and test environments used.
Deploy test scripts on a test farm.
Use debugging tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Familiarity with SDLC and test methodology including test-data management, bug reporting and resolution.
Work closely with the QA and Product Development group to get inputs on the product and approach for automation.
Work with the QA team to get the priority / requirements and to update and maintain the test scripts.

Mandatory Skills:
• Need to have good knowledge on SDLC & testing concepts.
• Strong scripting skills with any scripting language
• Strong debugging skills
• Hands on experience working on automation frameworks using any Test Automation tools.
• Understand the regression test cases and automate test cases using Automation framework
• Perform Automated testing and maintenance of test scripts
• Reporting software defects on defect tracking tool.
• Awareness of source control tools like clear case etc.

Desirable Skills:
• Programming skills (Visual C++ / Java / SmallTalk)
• Strong object-oriented programming concepts
• Experience in Automation framework development / maintenance
• Experience in the semiconductor equipment manufacturing industry.
• Exposure to Linux/Unix
